Hair & Makeup Abbotsford
Full glam for the nights that are not the wedding — Mehndi, Jaggo, birthdays, photos, and “I just want to feel done.” Hair, makeup, or both, in studio or on location.
What “full glam” means here
Hair styling plus makeup, finished so you can walk into a hall, a backyard, or a camera flash without a touch-up kit in every pocket. Lashes are optional. The look can be soft (skin, brow, lip) or full (cut crease, contour, prandi). You say the event; Jass sets the intensity.
Events people actually book
- Mehndi nights and Jaggo — colour, jewellery, and heat-proof wear.
- Birthdays and decades (30th, 40th, 50th) when the photos will live forever.
- Graduation, engagement, and family portraits.
- Date-night or girls’ night when you want a pro, not a rushed mall counter.
- Pre-wedding events that are not the bridal morning itself.

Packages if you have more than one night
The homepage lists Single Event Look (Mehndi / Jaggo), Full Series for every pre-wedding night, and party packages (makeup only, full glam, glam + trial). Those exist so a wedding week does not become five one-off texts. Ask for the series if you already know the event list.
Studio or on location
Thurston Place is the calm option: parking, light, and no cousins walking through the shot. On-location is better when the photographer is already at the house, or when three friends want to get ready together in Langley or Surrey.
Clients in Chilliwack and Mission often book the studio for weekday glam and travel for weekend events. Abbotsford locals can usually do either without turning the day into a commute.
How to brief the look
- Send 2–4 photos that match your skin and hair, not a different ethnicity’s Pinterest board.
- Say the outfit colour and jewellery. Gold vs silver changes the eye and lip.
- Mention glasses, hijab, or a tight neckline.
- If you cry at speeches, we plan a waterproof eye from the start.
- Arrive with clean, dry hair unless Jass asked for second-day hair.
Hair that holds in BC weather
Fraser Valley summers are warm and sometimes humid; winters are wet. Updos get extra pins and a real set, not a single pass of spray. Prandi and South Asian styles are priced separately because they take more time than a simple blowout. If your event is outdoors (Mill Lake photos, Fort Langley streets, a backyard in Vedder), say so.
Makeup that lasts past dinner
Skin is prepped, not just covered. Jass has 18+ years of event work — the finish is built for heat, dancing, and phone cameras. You will get a simple blot-and-lip plan, not a 12-step kit you will never use in a dark hall.
When to book
Parties and birthdays: a few weeks is usually enough. Pre-wedding events in peak season: treat them like bridal and book earlier. Same-week requests happen, but weekends fill first.
Book the chair
Call or WhatsApp with the date, city, and whether you want hair, makeup, or both. If you already know it is the wedding morning itself, go straight to the bridal page so the package matches the day.
Common questions
What is the difference between full glam and party makeup?
Full hair & makeup starts at $175 and covers both. Party makeup is listed at $200 for a more event-ready face. Jass will tell you which fits your photos and timeline.
Do you travel for Mehndi and Jaggo?
Yes — on-location across the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. Studio appointments are available when you want a quieter get-ready.
Can I book only hair or only makeup?
Yes. Makeup starts at $135+, hair style at $45+, prandi at $50+.
How long does a full glam appointment take?
Plan a couple of hours for hair and makeup, more if we are doing a detailed prandi or a group. Share your door time when you book.
Do you offer trials for parties?
Yes — glam + trial is on the party menu. Useful if the look is new to you or the lighting is unusual (outdoor evening, coloured venue lights).
What should I bring?
Inspiration photos, the jewellery you will actually wear, and a top that opens at the front. Contact lenses in, if you wear them for the event.
Can a group book together?
Yes. Birthday groups and pre-wedding parties do this often. We need headcount and a realistic start time so nobody is late to their own event.
Is this the same as bridal makeup?
Same artist, different package. Wedding-day bridal is a longer, higher-stakes booking. Use the bridal page for the ceremony morning.
